Personal Approach

My approach is flexible and creative and I integrate all aspects of my professional knowledge and training in the way I work.

With over 10 years as a therapist, I have provided counselling at GP surgeries as part of the NHS Psychological Therapies' initiative as well as working at Sutton Counselling Service - initially as a counsellor and subsequently as a Supervisor of training and qualified counsellors. In addition, I have a background in the commercial sector as an Executive Coach with particular expertise in supporting individuals as they navigate the dynamics of change and strengthening their resilience when facing uncertain circumstances.

Professional Qualifications:

Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from Roehampton University/WPF Therapy (BACP and UKCP recognised).

Psychodynamic therapy is interested in how our past life experiences can influence our present day relationships and behaviour often without us being aware. We have each taken in things from our earlier lives and sometimes they can form the basis of unhelpful, repeating, patterns in our attitudes and behaviour. Much of what we have learned is good and useful, but there may be other aspects that have become obstacles to us making healthy choices and having a strong sense of well-being

I am experienced in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and will incorporate elements of this approach if it seems appropriate. I also have experience of Mindfulness practice.

I am a qualified and experienced Supervisor, working with groups and individuals, and accredited with BAPPS (British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision).

Accredited with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and a member of the FPC (Foundation of Psychotherapy and Counselling) - abiding by their Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
My practice - based in Fulham SW6 - is within easy reach of Central London, Earls Court, South Kensington, Hammersmith, Putney, West and South West London
